Monessen; died Saturday; Jan.
22; 1994; in Shadyside Hospital;
Pittsburgh.
Born Feb. 24. 1939; in Belle
Vernon; he was the son of Bertha
Walker Shetterly; who survives;
and the late Raymond E. Shetterly Sr.
Mr. Shetterly had been
employed as an engineer on the
Monessen-Southwestern
Railroad prior to his retirement
in 1982.
He was Protestant by faith.
He was a member of the International Brotherhood of
Railroad Engineers and the
United Transportation Union.
In addition to his father; he
was preceded in death by a
sister; Elverda Shetterly Radek.
Surviving; in addition to his
mother; are his wife; Gayle
Isaho Shetterly; two daughters;
Dawn Pierce of Monessen and
Michelle Shetterly; at home;
three sons; Ray Shetterly in
Kansas; Craig Shetterly of
Monessen and Shawn Shetterly
at home; four grandsons; Ryan;
David; Raymond and Mark
John; one brother and sister-in-law; Duncan and Susie Shetterly
of Newton Falls; Ohio; and one
sister and brother-in-law; La Verne and Bart Meyers of Lucas; Ohio.
Friends willl be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.;1209 Grand Blvd.;Monessen. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m.in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev.Charles L.Barber;pastor of St.Luke Lutheran Church;Monessen;officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Rhome Funeral home Inc.
