Ralph Veschio,age 53 years,died suddenly Saturday morning,December 20,1930 in the Memorial hospital at Monongahela,after having suffered a paralytic stroke at 9 o'clock Friday night. Mt. Veschio was at the Vicroria hotel and was visiting with friends when stricken. His illness was so critical that he was rushed to the hospital immediately where he lingered until 2:15 Saturday morning,when he passed away. Mr. Veschio was one of the pioneer citizens of Monessen,having spent 30 years of his life here in various occupations. At the time of his death he was conducting a barber shop at Reed avenue and Fourth street, in which business he had been engaged for the past several years. His sudden death caused a great shock to his many friends as he had apparently enjoyed good health and only recently a medical examination revealed that he was suffering from high blood pressure,but he was able to conduct his business and be about the streets of the city. The deceased.during his long residence here,enjoyed a wide circle of friends who will be saddened at this sudden death. He is survived aby a widow and three children,an aged mother and two brothers. The suvivors are his widow and three children,Anthony,a resident of Monessen,Bernard and Lillian at home;his mother of Monongahela;a brother,Peter of Indiana and Frank of Altoona. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Leonard's R.C. Church,in charge of Father Kirby. Interment will be made in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
