Ralph P.Stone;84;of 1220 Linn Dr.;Belle Vernon;died Monday;May 6;1996;at the Monongahela Valley Hospital. He was born on Sept.14;1911 in Merrittstown;Pa.;a son of the late Edward H.and Nellie Morris Stone. Mr.Stone had been employed by Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co.for over 40 years;having retired as a shipper. He was also a member of the Pricedale Union Church;the former Charleroi Moose;where he had served as the last governor;M.A.R.S.and the Belle Vernon Moose Club. Survivors include his wife;Virginia D.Felgar Stone;one daughter and son-in-law;Carol and Dan Tomchay of North Charleroi;two sons and daughters-in-law;Ralph E.and Marilynne Stone of North Charleroi and Charles W.and Carol Merritt of Monessen;10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a sister;Jean Mohn and a brother;Edward Stone. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Rhome Funeral Home;Inc.;1209 Grand Blvd.;Monessen. Services will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev.James Mimidis officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
