Obituary

Ralph N. Werner, 64, of Stockdale, formerly of Lynnwood and Roscoe, died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, at his home. He was born Dec. 11,1934, in Elizabeth Township, a son of the late William and Grace Gephart Werner. Mr. Werner was Protestant by faith and was a member of the Roscoe Slovak Club, the Fairhope and Allenport Rod & Gun clubs, and the Belle Vernon American Legion. He was employed by Interstate Paper Co. of Roscoe. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Susan Werner Salko and husband Pete of Newell and Kathy Werner of Donora, three grandchildren, Jennifer and Heather Salko of Newell and Randy Kyle of Donora, five brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Ethel Werner of Elizabeth Township. Charles and Marion Werner of West Newton, Will and Lillian Werner of West Newton, Paul and Sonnie Werner of Monessen, and James and Nancy Werner of Tyrone, three sisters and a brother-in-law, Mildred Arico of Elizabeth Township, Oleda and Pinky Shoemaker of Elizabeth Township, and Madeline Lyons of Ruffsdale. Friends will be received in the Ed Melenyzer Funeral Homes, Inc., 1008 Furlong Ave., Roscoe, Wednesday, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Roscoe American Legion Post 801 will hold services Thursday at 7:30 p.m.in the funeral home. Services will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m.in the funeral home with the Rev.Audrey Baldwin of the Newell United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ed Melenyzer Funeral Homes,Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
