Ralph M. “Buck” Byerly, Jr., 85, of Manheim, PA, formerly of Belle Vernon, passed away in Heart of Lancaster Hospital, Lititz, PA on Monday, April 4, 2016. A son of the late Ralph M. and Mary Elizabeth McKenna Byerly, he was born in Grindstone on April 8, 1930. Ralph had resided in Belle Vernon until moving to Vero Beach, FL in 1984 and later moving to Manheim in 2006. He worked for Beneficial Finance in Charleroi and Equibank in Monroeville and Harbor Federal in Vero Beach, FL prior to his retirement. He was a former member of the North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department; Moose Lodge 1822 in Vero Beach, FL; VFW Post 1463 Lititz and the American Legion Post 56, both of Lititz; the Vero Beach Veterans Association, and was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Marines. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law Leah (Christopher) Geary of Shrewsburry, PA; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn Walinski (Leonard) of Ft. Pierce, FL, a sister-in-law, Kitty Campbell, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Verona and Jim Lambert of Lititz; granddaughter and husband Jennifer Stackpoole (Michael) of Etters, PA; and great grandson, Trey Stockpoole. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Grashion Byerly in 1977; second wife, Esther Wright Byerly in 2006; and brother, Donald Campbell.
