Ralph I.Lewis of 13918 Bermuda Drive;Largo;Fla.;formerly of Fallowfield Twp.;died Wednesday;Nov.3;1982;at 8:58 a.m.in Brownsville Hospital. Mr.Lewis was 83. He was born Oct.9;1897;in Charleroi;a son of the late Charles C.and Mayme Gamble Lewis. He was a member of Seminole Christian Church in Seminole;Fla. He also was a 41 year member pf BPOF;Lodge No.494 in Charleroi and a member of the Florida Sheriff’s Association. Mr.Lewis was a retired superintendent of maintenance of the Allenport Plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp. His wife;Ellen Bezy;died Jan.1;1981. Survivors include a son James J.Lewis of Hemingway;S.C.;a daughter;Mrs.Jack (Patricia) Schwartz of Midway;a sister;Mrs.Ruth McCain of Elyra;Ohio;eight grandchildren;and 14 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home;Inc.;226 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi;from 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Friday. Services will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 11 a.m.;with the Rev.Keith Dovenspike;pastor of Midway Methodist Church;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
