Obituary

Ralph Byron Billger, 1905 Wilson Ave., New Castle, a former resident of Charleroi and Belle Vernon, died Saturday,July 13,1963,at 12:30 p.m. in the Macaluso Nursing Home on West Pittsburgh Rd. He had been ill for some time. Born in McKeesport, July 18, 1891,to William M.and Ella Kate Robinson Billger, he was retired from the oil tubing department of the Allenport plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. in 1956 after nearly 40 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of New Castle and the American Legion Post 22, Charleroi. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Conner Billger on April 4, 1940, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. LeRoy (Doris) Columbus, with whom he made his home and a brother, Harry, of Belle Vernon. The body has been removed from the William F.DeCarbo Funeral Home on Cunningham Ave.to the Shelby Ferguson Funeral Home in Belle Vernon where friends are being received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.on Monday. Services will be held in the funeral home at 1:30 p.m.Tuesday,July 16,1963,with Rev.John Calvin Myers officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
