Rachel Favo Vizza;97;formerly of Belle Vernon;died Friday;Oct.20;2000;at 7 a.m.in Cherry Tree Nursing Home;Uniontown. She was born Feb.14;1903;in Oakmont;a daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary Favo. She was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon community and a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. She was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas;Belle Vernon Court 1522. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law;Donald R.and Saundra Vizza of Miami;Fla.;one daughter-in-law;Lois Zanardelli Vizza of Belle Vernon;two brothers;Nicholas Favo and Joseph Favo;both of Oakmont;seven grandchildren;and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Joseph Vizza on May 14;1990;one son;Vincent (Bud) Vizza on Nov.20;1995;three brothers;Anthony;Ralph;and Fred Favo;and six sisters;Molly;Katherine;Ann;Flora;Antoinette;and Mary. There will be no public visitation. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m.in the LEONARD J.PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME;Family owned and operated;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;with the Rev.Thomas Rogers officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
