Mrs. Rachel Kenney,85,died Monday,Feb. 24,1958 at 11:45 a.m. at the home of her granddaughter,Mrs. Beatrice Corley,965 Alexander Ave.,Monessen,with whom she resided. Mrs. Kenney was born in Bankville,Pa.,Jan.15,1873. She had formerly lived in Belle Vernon for 50 years,coming to Monessen five years ago. She was a member of the Speer St. A.M.E. Church, Belle Vernon. Survivors include two sons,Archie Kenney,of Buffalo,N.Y. and George of Belle Vernon; a daughter,Mrs. Margaret Perry of Monessen;fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Draper Funeral Home,Monessen after 7 p.m. Feb. 25. Services wll be held Thursday,Feb. 27,at 11 a.m. from the Speer St. A.M.E.Church, Belle Vernon. The Rev. Luther Owens will officiate. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C. Draper,funeral director.
