Mrs. Rachel Drake, 75,of Pittsburgh,a former resident of Monessen,died Friday,August 12,1949,at 12:55 p.m. in the West Penn Hospital. She was a charter member of the First Baptist Church in Monessen and was head of the primary department for many years. She is survived by one son,Donald Drake,of Wyoming,two sisters,Mrs. J.C. Herrington of Colorado Springs,Colo.,and Mrs. Frank Hinton,of Rochester,Minnesota. One niece,Mrs. J.L. Gadd of Monessen also survives. Her husband,E.E. Drake died four years ago. Friends are being received at the Melenyzer Funeral Home,700 Broad avenue,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Monday,August 15,at 2 p.m. in charge of Rev. John E. Fosnight,Canonsburg.
