Phyllis Giuliano Melvin, 78, of Warren, Ohio, entered peacefully into rest at her residence on Monday, Aug. 4, 2014. She was born Nov. 14, 1935, in Donora, to Frank and Mary Angelo Giuliano and had resided in the Warren area since 1965. Phyllis retired in 1994 from Trumbull County Children's Services Board after 14 years of dedicated service as a youth leader and telephone operator. She loved traveling and spending family vacations with her husband, children, grandchildren, sister and all their extended families. Phyllis was a long time member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church (Saint John Paul II parish) in Warren. She was preceded in 2009 by her husband of 53 years, Eugene (Casey) Melvin. Phyllis will be deeply missed by her daughters, Marybeth Melvin, Veronica (James) Crisan, Toni Nicastro and Julie (Ronald) Cavalier of Warren; her sister, Esther (Ernest "Sonny") Trozzo of Uniontown; her adoring grandchildren, Casie Anne Ciancone, Vincent and Christian Cavalier, Hannah and Hilary Crisan, Dominic and Sonni Nicastro; many nieces and nephews; and all of her many friends. A memorial Mass will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, at Saint John Paul II Parish (St. Joseph's Church) in Warren, Ohio. On Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, a memorial Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. at St. Sebastian Church in Belle Vernon. Burial will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
