Phyllis Jones,20,of 8511 Dexter St.,Detroit, Mich.,formerly of Van Voohis,died Monday May 20,1968 in Detroit. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y.,on Jan. 29,1948. Miss Jones was graduated from Charleroi Area High School in 1966. Surviving are her father, Charles Simons of New York City;three brothers, Francis Simons of Baltimore,Md.,Clarence Tillman with the U.S. Army in Germany,and Gordon Jones with the U.S. Marines in Vietnam; a sister, Audrey Simons of Baltimore and maternal grandmother,Mrs. Nancy Thaxton of Monessen. Friends will be received at the Percy Law Jr. Funeral Home,Donora,after 7 p.m. May 24. Service there Saturday,May 25,at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Henry Garland,pastor of Monongahels'a Second Baptist Church, officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Percy Law Jr.is the funeral director.
