Phyllis (Lindey) Hickey,83,of Fayette City R.D.1 (Brownstown),died Friday, Feb. 13,1998,at home after a lengthy illness. She was born July 14,1914,in Washington Township,a daughter of the late John and Phyllis Davies Lindey. She was a retired school teacher in the Belle Vernon Area School District and was a member of the Fayette City Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. Survivors include one daughter,Dawn E. LaFrate of Michigan;two granddaughters,and one sister and brother-in-law,Olive and Paul (Gus) Cpoe of fayette City R>D.1. In addition to her parents,she was preceded n death by her husband, William Hickey;two sisters, mary Jolley and Lavinia Jones;two brothers, Stanley and Lewis Lindey. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home Ind.,Fayette City.and Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Fayette City Christian and Missionary Alliance Church,Connellsville Street,Fayette City,where funeral services will be held with the Rev. James Moffett and the Rev. Paul Cope,of the Mars Christian and Missionary Alliance Church,co-officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Eley-McCrory Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.
