Phoebe Mae Bellback; 83; of
Charleroi; died Tuesday; May 24;1988; at 1:15 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital; Carroll Township; after a lengthy illness. She was born April 9; 1905; in Washington Township; Fayette County; a daughter of the late Henry and Margaret Leech Bellback.
She was a Protestant by faith. Two sisters and one brother are deceased.
Surviving are one daughter;Thelma Brost; of Charleroi; three grandchildren; Jay W. Anthony of Carroll Township; Paula Whalen of Dillon; Mont.; and Margaret Wilson of Fayette City; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister;
Catherine Casteel; of McKeesport.
There will be no public viewing. Private funeral services will be held Thursday with the Rev.Keith L.Ackerman;Rector;St.Mary Episcopal Church;Charleroi;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;is in charge of arrangements.
