Obituary

Philomena Minnie Coccari,94,of Monessen,died Sunday,Aug.4,1991,in the Kade Nursing Home,Washington,Pa., Born Oct.23,1896,in Youngstown,Ohio,she was the daughter of John and Anna Marie Fannuzzi Malgira. Mrs.Coccari was a member of The Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church and the Sons of Italy,both of Monessen. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband,Rosario,in 1982,a son,John Coccari,in 1991,four brothers,Samuel,Nicholas,Anthony and Alfred Malgira,and three sisters,Christina Pascoe,Carmelia Thompson and Esther Ferencz. Surviving are two sons,Joseph Coccari of Monessen and Rudy Coccari of Belle Vernon,one daughter,Maria Heckel of Baltimore,Md.,eight grandchildren,15 great-grandchildren,five great-great-grandchildren,two brothers,Amel Malgira of Detroit,Mich.,and Albert Malgira of San Jose,Calif.,and two sisters,Susan Ambrose of Monessen and Mary Menedis of Baltimore,Md. Friends were received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Raymond D.Dalfonso Funeral Home,441 Reed Ave.,Monessen,where a blessing service will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in The Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church,Monessen. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Raymond D.Dalfonso Funeral Home.
