Philomena Flora Trasatti Iacovangelo, 83, of North Belle Vernon, died Thursday, March 12, 2015, at 1:55 a.m. at Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Born July 18, 1931 in North Charleroi, she was the daughter of the late Pete and Anna Bashada Flora. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Iacovangelo was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. Mrs. Iacovangelo was a homemaker, enjoyed reading, building puzzles and entertaining at her home. She is survived by a son, Timothy Trasatti of Perryopolis; daughter, Tammy Trasatti of North Belle Vernon; and her beloved dog, Ben. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Vincent Trasatti; second husband, Sam Iacovangelo; and sister, Tomasina Flora. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayer Service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for Philomena Sunday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
