Philip Karcesky Jr.,68,of Perryopolis,died Wednesday,April 7,1999,at 8:45 p.m. in Jefferson Hospital. Born Feb. 21,1931,in Fayette City,he was a son of the late Philip and Mary Snyder Karcesky Sr. Mr. Karcesky was a retired officer of 22 years with the Baltimore Police Department. Survivors include his wife, Mary K. Moats Karcesky; one son and daughter-in-law,Bruce W. and Stacy Karcesky of Dunkirk,Md.; four grandchildren,Devin,Gretchen,Cory and Casey Karcesky; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Kenneth Karcesky of Beaver Falls and Jerry and Marlene Karcesky of Aliquippa. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home Inc.,106 E. Independence St.,Perryopolis,where services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m.with the Rev. George A. McNeel officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Blair-Lowther Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
