Philip Strimel;63;of 1228 Patton avenue;Monessen;died in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital;December 30;1958;at 3 p.m. He was born in Cecil;June 3;1895;and was a U.S.Army veteran of World War One. He was a member of American Legion Post 28;Monessen. For sixteen years;he was a policeman for the city of Monessen;and since 1940;was a watchman at the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Company. He was also a member of the Charleroi Boat Club. He is survived by his wife;Minnie Spiegelberg Strimel;one daughter;Mrs.Charles (Evelyn) Zetka of Roscoe;three brothers;Louis of Fort Washington;Pa.;Adlin of Houston and Charles Strimel of Charleston;West Virginia;two sisters;Mrs.Arthur (Julia) Beaumariage of Venice;Mrs.Walton (Lenoa) Shields of Hyattsville; Maryland;and four grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Edwin Melenyzer Funeral Home. Services will be held there January 3;1959;at 1:30 p.m.;in charge of Rev.Paul Trout;pastor of St.Paul’s Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon cemetery. Edwin Melenyzer is the funeral director.
