Obituary

Philip Strimel,63,of 1228 Patton avenue,Monessen,died in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital,December 30,1958,at 3 p.m. He was born in Cecil,June 3,1895,and was a U.S.Army veteran of World War One. He was a member of American Legion Post 28,Monessen. For sixteen years,he was a policeman for the city of Monessen,and since 1940,was a watchman at the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Company. He was also a member of the Charleroi Boat Club. He is survived by his wife,Minnie Spiegelberg Strimel,one daughter,Mrs.Charles (Evelyn) Zetka of Roscoe,three brothers,Louis of Fort Washington,Pa.,Adlin of Houston and Charles Strimel of Charleston,West Virginia,two sisters,Mrs.Arthur (Julia) Beaumariage of Venice,Mrs.Walton (Lenoa) Shields of Hyattsville, Maryland,and four grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Edwin Melenyzer Funeral Home. Services will be held there January 3,1959,at 1:30 p.m.,in charge of Rev.Paul Trout,pastor of St.Paul's Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon cemetery. Edwin Melenyzer is the funeral director.
