Peter J.Bednarczyk;66;of Fayette City R.D.1;died Tuesday;March 23;1993;at home at 6:30 a.m. He was born in Monessen;Aug.26;1926;a on of the late John and Salome Korab Bednarczyk. Mr.Bednarczyk was a member of the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church of Fayette City. He was also a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion. He served in the U.S.Navy during WW II. He had lived in Fayette City for the past 37 years;formerly residing in Belle Vernon. Mr.Bednarczyk is survived by his wife;Sarah Zema Bednarczyk;with whom he celebrated 47 years of marriage in December;four sons and daughters-in-law;Peter and Helen Bednarczyk of Monongahela;David and Deloris Bednarczyk of Belle Vernon R.D.;Leonard and Theresa Bednarczyk and Paul and Mary Bednarczyk;;all of Fayette City R.D.1;one daughter;Mrs.George (Kathleen) Molesky of Belle Vernon;10 grandchildren;and four sisters;Ann Partzka and Emily Bednarczyk;both of Connecticut;and Katherine Bednarczyk and Helen Slagg;both of New Jersey. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by two brothers;Michael Bednarczyk and Wallace Bednarczyk;and two sisters;Mary Nartowicz and Jennie Mendyk. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 9:15 a.m.;followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church;Fayette City;with the Rev.Richard Mackiewicz officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle Vernon America Legion services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;is in charge of the arrangements.
