Obituary

Peter Doolas, of Dunlevy, died Wednesday morning,June 15,1960 at 6:25 o'clock at his home after a lingering illness. He was born in Chios, Greece. Feb. 2, 1892. He was employed at the Allenport plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co . and was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, Monessen. He was a veteran of World War I, and served in France with the 145th Infantry, 37th Division. He was a member of American Legion Post 22,Charleroi,and the United Chian Societies of America,Monessen. He is survived by his wife,Eudoxia Poppas Doolas,two daughters,Mrs.Stamos (Sespina) Ploussao,Hoboken,N.J.,Mrs.Clifford (Stella) Belsar,Dunlevy,two brothers and one sister living in Greece,and four grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Schrock Funeral Home after 1 p.m.,Thursday,during hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Prayer services there Saturday,June 18,1960,at 1 p.m. will be followed by additional services in St.Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church,Monessen. Rev.Ioakim Isidorides will be in charge and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold L. Schrock, funeral director.
