Peter Bruno Tallerico, 97, of Belle Vernon, passed away on July 8, 2024. He was born on July 25, 1926 in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania. He was a 1944 graduate of Belle Vernon High School and a 1949 graduate of Cincinnati College of Embalming. Along with his wife, he owned and operated Bruno Plumbing and Electric Company on Broad Avenue in Belle Vernon for 30 years. After selling the store, he worked with the Rostraver Ambulance Service, was a rural mail carrier for the Belle Vernon Post Office, and enjoyed gardening. He was a member of St. Sebastian's Church in Belle Vernon and belonged to both the Rotary Club and Knights of Columbus.
Peter was the son of the late Salvatore and Clara (Bruno) Tallerico. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Evelyn (Viviani) Tallerico, a brother, Frank Tallerico of Maryland, and a daughter in-law, Delma (Hepple) Tallerico. He is survived by a brother, John Tallerico of Maryland, a son, Dr. Samuel Tallerico of Wexford, a daughter, Nancy (Tallerico) Bartolotta of Charleroi; and five grandchildren, Danielle (Bartolotta) Steingraber (Matthew), Damon Bartolotta (Laurie), Robert Tallerico (Janet), Michael Tallerico (Erika), Patrick Tallerico (Rachael); and three great grandchildren, Nathaniel, Anthony, and Emma Tallerico.
Friends will be received on Monday, July 15, 2024 from 6 to 8 P.M. in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon. 724-929-5300 www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. A blessing will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 10 A.M. in the funeral home with Msgr. James T. Gaston officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
