The remains of Pete Zuros of Fayette City,who was drowned in the Monongahela river Wednesday afternoon,September 11,1918,were buried Thursday afternoon in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. The unfortunate man worked on the new state road with a gang back of Fayette City,and the last seen of him was last Sunday. It is not known how he got into the river unless it was by some accident. The body was found floating near the river shore at Belle Vernon about 8 o'clock Wednesday,fully dressed,with no marks of violence. Identification was made by friends and papers found in the clothing. The body was taken to the undertaking rooms of Hancock & Melenyzer,Belle Vernon,and prepared for burial.
