Pete Bergami of 8 James St.,Belle Vernon,died Thursday, Aug. 19,1982,at 2:59 a.m. in the Mon Valley Hosptial. He was 90. Mr. Bergami was born Sept. 9,1891,in Italy,and came to the United States 70 years ago. He had been a resident of the Belle Vernon area for the past 60 years. Mr. Bergami was a member of St. Sebastian Church, Belle Vernon,and the Garibaldi Lodge in Dunlevy. He had also been a member of the former Market Street Italian Club for many yearas. Mr. Bergami was a retired United Mine Worker. He is survived by one niece,Elida Bergamaschi of Italy;and the following good friends,Clara Tonarelli, Mr.and Mrs.Joseph Hoffman,Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Rogers and Charles Carini,all of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home,followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Church,Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
