Obituary

Pearl C.Kish,67,of 35 Solomon St.,Belle Vernon,died suddenly at her home on Wednesday,Jan.18,1989. She was born Aug.25,1921,in Monessen,a daughter of the late Joseph and Nina Pentek Kish. She was a member of the Marion and Harmony Presbyterian Churches. A graduate of Monessen high School and of Indiana College in 1943,Miss Kish taught art in the Belle Vernon Area school district from 1944 until she retired in 1977 due to a physical disability. During the later years of her school career she was the Belle Vernon Area district art supervisor. After retirement,Miss Kish was quite active in painting. She is survived by two sisters,Viola Souply of Irwin and Mrs.Robert (Olga) Vaughn of Trenton,Mich.,two nieces,Penelope Butler of North Huntingdon and Pamela Welsh of Irwin,and two nephews,Robert Vaughn of Howell,Mich.,and John Vaughn of Trenton. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,when services will be held with Rev.John C.Park of the Marion Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
