Pearl Chabalka of 740 Highland Ave.;North Charleroi;died Saturday Aug.7;1982;at 11 a.m.in the Washington Extended Care Facility;Washington;Pa. She was 83. Mrs.Chabalka was born Oct.8;1898;in Austria-Hungary;a daughter of the late Nicholas and Ann Sudia Chabalka. She had been a resident of North Charleroi for the past 50 years. Mrs.Chabalka was a member of Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church;Charleroi. She was preceded in death by her husband;Alex Chabalka. Survivors include one son;Nicholas Chabalka of Belle Vernon R.D.4;two daughters;Ann Lesiak;at home;and Mrs.Charles (Olga) Jakubs of North Charleroi;five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Raymond D.Dalfonso Funeral Home;441 Reed Ave.;Monessen;from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Monday. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.followed by additional services at 10 a.m.in Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church;Charleroi. The Rev.Samuel Smolcic;pastor;will officiate. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
