Obituary

Paul Reed, Jr., 80, of Belle Vernon died Friday, December 28, 2007 in his home. A son of the late Paul and Lenora Frazer Reed, Sr., he was born in Belle Vernon on January 18, 1927. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Paul worked as a tractor trailer driver for Sentinel Trucking and then later he was an independent driver. Paul served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Dorothy S. Reed of Belle Vernon and Cynthia and William Morgan of Charleston, SC, two sons, Paul Scott Reed and Daniel Reed, both of Belle Vernon, two brothers and one sister-in-law, Donald and Judy Reed and Daryl Reed, all of Belle Vernon, six grandchildren, Brandi, Michael and Anthony Garofalo, Paige and Dalton Reed and Ginger Morgan, and five great-grandchildren, Dillion Casaus, Isabella, Cameron and Hunter Garofalo and Kayla Conrad. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma LaVonne Reed on December 19, 2007 and one sister, Betty McCleary. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., www.fergusonfuneralhomeandcrematory.com, 724-929-5300, 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Suzanne Currie officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The officers of the First Presbyterian Church will meet in the funeral home to hold services Sunday at 7 P.M.
