Obituary

Paul P.Lucas of 610 Blind Lane,Belle Vernon,was pronounced dead on arrival at Charles Cole Hospital,Coudersport,on Saturday,Sept.13,1975,at 11:56 a.m. Mr.Lucas,58,was vacationing with his family at their summer home and was suddenly taken ill while out walking with a son. Born in Coal Center on June 14,1917,Mr.Lucas had lived in the Belle Vernon area since 1949. He was employed as a hooker in the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. A veteran of service in the U.S.Army during World War II,he was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church of Lynnwood,Rostraver Sportsmen's Club,East Belle Vernon Athletic Club and the Belle Vernon Legion. Surviving are his widow,Ann Honchalk Lucas,three sons,Edward D.of Middletown,Paul J.at home,and James M.of Fayette City,two daughters,Sharon L.Honsaker and Mrs.Mary Anne Kolodziej,both of Charleroi,two brothers,Walter E.Lucas of Belle Vernon and John T.Lucas of West Long Branch,N.J.,one sister,Mrs.Edward (Joan) Tegel of Belle Vernon,and three grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Monday. Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 9 a.m.with the Rev.John Kluchko,pastor of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church,Lynnwood,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director in charge.
