Paul P. Sedlak; 97; of Perryopolis; died Wednesday; May 30; 2007; at 12:03 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital; Carroll Township. Born June 24; 1909; in Winburne; he was a son of the late John and Mary Burdis Sedlak. A resident of Perryopolis for the past 45 years; Mr. Sedlak was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon and a retired threader from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Allenport plant. He was a life member of the Independent Slovak Citizens Club in Gillespie. Survivors include one daughter; Paulette Sedlak; of Perryopolis; one son and daughter-in-law; Paul and Evelyn Sedlak; of Belle Vernon; one brother; the Rev. Valentine Sedlak; of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren; Mark Sedlak and wife Danielle; and Matthew Sedlak and wife Charlene; and four great-grandchildren; Mark Sedlak Jr.; Alexis Sedlak; Jonathan Sedlak and Mary Sedlak. He was preceded in death by his wife; Helen Kostal Sedlak; seven brothers; John; Steve; Joseph; Patrick; Albert; Martin and Thomas Sedlak; and one sister; Mary Smeal. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; family owned and operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon (724-929-6183). A Prayer Service will be held Friday; June 1; at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home; followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. John Sedlak and the Rev. Valentine Sedlak as concelebrants. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Paul P.
