Obituary

Paul P.Jesick of 25 W.Main St.,Shelby,Ohio,died Friday,Jan.11,1985,at 9 a.m. in Crestwood Nursing Home in Shelby following a short illness. Mr.Jesick,a former resident of the Belle Vernon and Fayette City areas,was 88. Born in Osceola Mills,Pa.on Dec.6,1896,he was the son of the late Peter and Mary Ellen Smith Jesick. Mr.Jesick was a member of the Fayette City United Presbyterian Church and the Gummert Lodge No.252 F&AM of Fayette City. He retired as a railroad clerk for P&LE Railroad. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by a brother,Frank,in 1973. Surviving are his wife,Jane Umbarger Jesick of Shelby,a son,Paul Preston Jesick of Coraopolis,two grandchildren,five brothers,Edward,Maynard,James and Thomas Jesick,all of Belle Vernon and Dr.Victor Jesick of Fayette City and two sisters,Miss Helen Jesick and Mrs.Margaret Brown,both of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon to nine p.m. in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,where services will be held Monday,Jan.14,at 11 a.m. with the Rev.Robert Cromwell,pastor of the Fayette City United Presbyterian Church,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Masonic services will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
