Paul Joseph (P.J.) Shimko;
22; formerly of Elco; currently
living in St. Petersburg; Fla.;
died Monday; June 24;1991; as a
result of a work-related
accident.
He was born Aug. 11;1968; in
Charleroi; a son of Joseph Paul
and Mary Wilkinson Shimko.
Mr. Shimko was a member of
the Roscoe Sportsmans Club. He
was a 1986 graduate of California
Area High School. He moved
to Florida and attended the
University of Southern Florida for two years. Mr.Shimko received an associate degree in business from St.Petersburg Junior College. He had been working as an air conditioning technician in St.Petersburg;Fla. Mr.Shimko was preceded in death by a brother;David Paul;and maternal grandparents;Harry and Thelma Wilkinson. In addition to his parents;he is survived by a sister;Carrie L.Shimko of Elco;two brothers;Richard A.Shimko of Elco and Shawn Shimko of Gulfport;Fla.;and paternal grandparents;George and Dolores Shimko;with whom he resided in St.Petersburg;Fla. Friends will be received at the Ed Melenyzer Funeral Home Inc.;1008 Furlong Ave.;Roscoe;Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m.in the funeral home with the Rev.Charles Sowden officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either 5-Town Ambulance or Roscoe Volunteer Fire Department.
