Paul J. Mica; 68; of Smithton
R.D.I; died Sunday; April 6;
1997; at 6:05 p.m. in Allegheny
General Hospital; Pittsburgh;
following a lingering illness.
Born March 3; 1929; in
Monessen; he was the son of the
late Paul and Elizabeth Matash
Mica.
Mr. Mica resided in Smithton
the past 27 years and formerly resided in the Mon Valley area. He was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church;Belle Vernon;and the church choir. He was a retired crane operator for U.S.Steel;McKeesport plant;and was also formerly employed at Page American Chain and Cable Company;Monessen. He was a farmer in the Smithton area. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a brother;Joseph Sepeiak;and a sister Barbara Mica;who died in infancy. Surviving are his wife;Mariann Skurkay Mica;one son;Paul J.Mica of Omaha;Neb.;two daughters;Rachael Mica of Bridgeville and Mrs.James (Elizabeth) Saul of Smithton;one sister;Mary Cuprik of Euclid;Ohio;and three grandchildren;James Saul and Sarah and Paul Jacob Mica. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. Relatives and friends will gather Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.in Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church;Mary Street;Belle Vernon;for funeral services with the Rev.John Kluchko;pastor;officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A Parastas service will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m.in the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home.
