Patricia Owens-Johnson, 64, of Washington, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014. Born May 7, 1950, in Orange, N.J., she was the daughter of the late James Madison Sr. and Evelyn Ennis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence Chatman Ennis, James Madison Ennis Jr. and Guy Ennis. She is survived by her husband, Edward F. Johnson Jr.; two sisters, Gwendolyn (Osborne) Gunthorpe of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mary Jane Ennis-Willis of Plainsfield, N.J.; two brothers, Lawrence Ennis of Chetka, Wis., and Dawarren (Teneisa) Ennis of Helotes, Texas; a cousin, Elsie Haley of Connellsville; and one aunt, Mary Bedford of Mt. Pleasant; two godchildren, Tahmeka D. Pigott of Taylor, S.C., and Dr. Jason Scott of Plainsfield, N.J.; five brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; seven stepchildren; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Family and friends will be received at 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 230 Reed Ave., Monessen, followed by a homegoing service officiated by Elder Jack Howell. Interment will take place at Belle Vernon Cemetery.
