Obituary

Pamela Luzanski, 73 of Ida, Michigan passed away Thursday July 16 surrounded by family and friends.Born May 8, 1942 in McKeesport, PA, Pam was the daughter of Robert and Irma Frazier. While studying nursing in McKeesport, she met a nerdy engineering student and accepted his invitation to dance. This man would eventually become her husband and best friend for over 50 years. After becoming an RN, Pam married Thomas Luzanski of Belle Vernon, PA in 1964. They made their home in Michigan and had two children, Kim and Nikki.Pam was a wonderful wife and mother providing her family with an abundance of love and laughter. She would start dance parties in the family room and make snow days even better by making buttered noodles for lunch. Pam worked as a nursing supervisor at The Lutheran Home in Monroe. This position displayed her compassion for others, excellent patient care and feisty spirit!  Pam enjoyed reading, shopping and a really good hamburger. She loved Christmas and had amassed a collection of decorations and ribbon that could rival Bronner’s. She cherished her friends and always looked forward to raising a ruckus with them. Most importantly, she loved being a wife, a mother, and a good friend. Her life illustrated this to the fullest extent. She will be missed and the world is now a little less bright. Pam is survived by her husband, Tom, her two daughters, Kim and Nikki, and her two brothers, Robert and William. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Rupp Funeral Home. She will lie instate at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Church, with a Mass of the Resurrection at 11 a.m. Rev. Philip Ching will officiate.  Since Pam loved animals and killed anything botanical, the family asks in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Monroe County Humane Society www.monroehumane.com.
