Obituary

Otto Limzie Payne,63,of 921 Oakland Ave.,Charleroi,died Sunday,Feb.23,1975,at 2:10 p.m.in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital following a brief illness. Mr.Payne was born in Cross Plains,Tenn.,on Dec.21,1911,a son of the late Jessie and Lillie May Payne and had lived in the Charleroi area the past 50 years. A former employee of Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.,where he retired Jan.30,1974,Mr.Payne was a member and trustee of the Antioch Baptist Church of Belle Vernon,past master of the Twin Lodge No.67,F&AM,past president of the 11th Masonic district,a member of the Sahara Temple No.2,Sahara Temple No.1 and the Mon Valley Shrine Club,the St.Cyprian Consistory No.4 STRS Valley of Pittsburgh and IBPOEW of Monessen. Mr.Payne is survived by his widow,Edith Payne,ond daughter,Mrs.Oscar (Rosetta) Pierce of Cleveland,Ohio,three sons,Otto Payne Jr.and Henry Payne,both of Charleroi,and Oliver Payne of Phoenix,Ariz.,one sister,Mrs.Levonia Moore of Gary,Ind.,one aunt,Chassie Richmond of Gary,Ind.,and seven grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home,608 Sixth St.,Monessen,from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m.on Tuesay,Feb.25,1975 after which the body will be taken to the Antioch Baptist Church in Belle Vernon at 2 p.m.on Wednesday,Feb.26,1975 where Masonic services will be conducted at 7 p.m.on Wednesday,Feb.26,1975. Funeral services will be held on Thursday,Feb.27,1975 at 11 a.m. with the Rev.A.C.Morris,pastor,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C.Draper,funeral director.
