Otis J. Momeyer,77,of 611 West Newton Road,Elizabeth Twp.,father-in-law of Westmoreland County Commissioner Ted Simon,died Friday,May 5,1978,at 2:30 p.m.in H.C. Frick Community Hospital in Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Momeyer was born in Smithton on Oct. 24,1901,a son of the late William E. and Elvina Hoenshel Momeyer. He was retired from the Clairton Works of U.S.Steel Corp. Mr. Momeyer was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church of West Newton,the F&AM Blyth Lodge No. 539 of West Newton,and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon. Survivors include his widow,Thelma E. Momeyer; one son,Ralph Momeyer of Millersport,Ohio;two daughters,Mrs. William (Audrey) Rankin of Belle Vernon R.D. 1 and Mrs. Ted (Mary Lou) Simon of Plummers School Road,West Newton;one brother,Luther G. Momeyer of Elizabeth Twp.;one sister, Mrs. David (Vera) Gephart of Elizabeth Twp.,and nine grandchildren. Friends will be received in the James C. Stump Funeral Home,Inc.,Rostraver Twp.,Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.,Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday until 9:30 a.m.when the body will be taken to the Christ Lutheran Church of West Newton where friends will be received until 11 a.m.,the time of the service,with the Rev. Edwin T. Cochran,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. James C. Stump is funeral director in charge.
