O.T. Hobbs,87,of 306 Fifth St.,Charleroi,died Wednesday.September,26,1962 at 11:25 p.m. after a lingering illness. He was born in Fairmount, Ind.,but had been a Valley resident since 1904. At one time Mr. Hobbs was a wholesale candy salesman for the R.G. Stevens Candy Co.of Monessen. He also formerly operated a grocery store on Speer St. in Belle Vernon. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Charleroi. His wife,Nora Dell Hobbs,preceded him in death on March 26,1962. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Lieder and Mrs. Margaret Krupka,both at home;two sons,Harry of Charleroi and Alfred of Youngstown,Ohio;ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the H. Denver Rhome Funeral Home in Monessen after 7 p.m.,September 27,and then during hours of 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services there Saturday,September 29 at 10 a.m. in charge of the Rev. Martin Longenecker,pastor of the First Methodist Church of Charleroi. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. H. Denver Rhome,funeral director.
