Born April 20;1929;in Brownsville;he was the son of Franklin and Josephine Hess Austin;who survive. Mr.Austin was employed at the Clairton Works of U.S.Steel Corp. He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church;Monessen. A U.S.Army veteran;he served with the 101st Airborne Division during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of American Legion Post 659;Belle Vernon. In addition to his parents;he is survived by his wife;Jennie Perozzi Austin;two sons and daughters-in-law;Franklin L.and Cheryl Austin of Louisville;Ky.;and Albert O.and Deneen Austin of Monessen; one daughter;Mrs.Jonathan (Linda) Baker of Belle Vernon;seven grandchildren;two brothers;Franklin Austin of Grindstone and Richard Austin of Cleveland;Ohio;and a sister;Vivian Thomas of Blainesburg. Friends will be received Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.in the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.;1209 Grand Blvd.;Monessen;where prayers will be said Monday at 9:30 a.m.;followed by Mass at 10 a.m.in Epiphany of Our Lord Church;Monessen. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.
