Orthelia Mae Rankin of the Belle Vernon Apartments;died Tuesday;Dec.30;1980;at 1:20 p.m. in the Monongahela Valley Hospital;Carroll Twp. She was 77. Mrs.Rankin was born Dec.23;1903;in Fayette City;a daughter of the late James and Annie Shoack Anderson. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon and had lived in Belle Vernon the last 20 years. She previously lived in Cleveland;Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband;Earl Rankin;in 1961. Mrs.Rankin is survived by two brothers;Howard Anderson of Wadsworth;Ohio;and Charles Anderson of McKeesport;and two sisters;Lillian Sisley of Toronto;Ohio;and Florence White of Belle Vernon. Friends are being received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m.;with the Rev.Charles Colas;pastor of First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon;officiating.
