Ollie L.Mathis of 1133 McMahon Ave.;Monessen;died Wednesday;Oct.17;1984;at Mon Valley Hospital. He was the son of the late Abe and Sadie Mathis of Gasden;Ala. Mr.Mathis retired from the Detroit News in Michigan. Surviving are his wife;Arwilda Carpenter Mathis; a son;Adrian Mathis of Washington;D.C.;two daughters;Vanessa Geng of Atlanta;Ga.;and Sheila Green of Michigan;and a host of relatives and friends. Friends will be received on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Draper Funeral Home;608 Sixth St.;Monessen;where funeral services will be held at the chapel at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Draper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
