Oliver Nevins of 231 McKean avenue, Charleroi,died at his home, Saturday, May 30,1953,at 11:45 p.m.,after a lingering illness. Mr. Nevins was born in Philadelphia,May 15,1889,the son of Robert and Margaret McGowan Nevins. He came to Charleroi forty years ago from Philadelphia,and was employed as a watchman at the Chamber of Commerce Parking Lot. He is survived by one son, Albert Nevins of Charleroi and one sister, Mrs. Mary Griffith of Claysville. Friends will be received at the Schrock Funeral Home. Services will be held there Wednesday,June 3,1953,at 2:30 p.m.,in charge of Rev. Robert Laing. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold L. Schrock is the funeral director.
