Obituary

Octavio (Ocky) Volpi, 52, of 420 Market St., Belle Vernon, died Wednesday,June 10,1964,at 8:25 a.m. in Charleroi - Monessen Hospital. Mr. Volpi had been employed as a bartender in Mickey's Grill, Second St., Belle Vernon. He was a member of St. Sebastian's R.C. Church, the Moose, Italian Beneficial Society, American Legion, all of Belle Vernon, and the East Belle Vernon Athletic Club and various other social groups. Mr. Volpi was born in Belle Vernon on Nov. 5, 1911. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Amelia Volpi of Belle Vernon, with whom he made his home, two brothers, Orlando D. of Belle Vernon and James D. of Roscoe, three sisters, Mrs. Albert (Eunice) Dominick and Mrs. Chester (Mary) Marasco, both of Belle Vernon, and Mrs. Joseph (Rose) Lorenzini of Blythedale. His father, John, died Nov. 30, 1937. Friends will be received at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home, Belle Vernon, after 2 p.m. Thursday,where a service will take place Saturday,June 13,1964,at 9:30 a.m. followed by Requiem High Mass at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon. The Rev.Martin J.O'Toole,pastor,will officiate. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director.
