Obituary

Norman L. Chucuddy, 73, of Allenport, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, in Mon Valley Hospital. A son of the late Frank and Hazel Welsh Chucuddy, he was born in Allenport on July 8, 1934. Mr. Chucuddy was a member of the Allenport Rod and Gun Club, the Roscoe American Legion and a life member of the Allenport Volunteer Fire Department. A U.S. Army veteran, Norman retired in 1996 from the Allenport plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Baker Chucuddy, to whom he would have been married 50 years in July, one daughter, Norma Jean McDuffie, of Long Branch, one son, Mark Chucuddy, of Allenport, two sisters, Nancy Gola, of Elco, and Beatrice Mohar, of Belle Vernon, and one brother, Thomas Chucuddy, of Monessen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, William McDuffie, on May 9, 2007, and one brother, Frank Chucuddy. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. and CREMATION SERVICE, a Golden Rule Member Firm, www.fergusonfuneralhomeandcrematory.com, 724-929-5300, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Friday, May 18 at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. David Zona officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
