Obituary

Norman Atkinson,57,of Belle Vernon R.D.2,died in the Allegheny General Hospital,Pittsburgh,Wednesday,Jan.25,1961. Mt.Atkinson was employed by the Pazer and Davis Coal Co.and was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. He is survived by his widow,Catherine Markovitch Atkinson,four sons,Norman,David,Leonard and Howard at home,three daughters,Mrs.Donald (Dulcie) Smith,West Newton,R.D.1,Mrs.James (Joy) Pozum Jr.,Fairhope,Cathy,at home,his mother,Mrs.Daniel Atkinson Sr.,Lynnwood,three brothers,Edward,Daniel and John Atkinson of Belle Vernon,five sisters,Mrs.William (Isabelle) Beck,Belle Vernon,R.D.1,Mrs.Phyllis Roucroft,Clairton,Mrs.Fred (Florence) Reshenberg,Akron,Ohio,Mrs.Charles (Elva)Kraft,Belle Vernon,Mrs.Wilbur (Eleanor) Stanger,Henryetta,Okla.,and two granddaughters. Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,during hours of 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held there Saturday,Jan.28,1961,at 2 p.m.,in charge of the Rev.James Percy of the Lynnwood Lutheran Church. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner of Belle Vernon is the funeral director.
