Norma R. Smith; 86; of Speers; passed on Friday; March 19; 2010; at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Norma was born on Nov. 2; 1923; in North Charleroi; the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Maria Mazade Thiry. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Athene Club; both of Charleroi. She was a homemaker and loving mother to her daughter; Carole Ghenne; of Charleroi; her son; Bruce and his wife; Joann; of Charleroi; and a granddaughter; Jennifer K. Smith; of Chicago. Norma was preceded in death by her parents; and husband; Vernon C. Smith.
