Norma L. Isbell of 669 Braddock Ave.,Monessen,died Monday,April 19,1982,at 3:20 a.m. in the Mon Valley Hosptial. She was 84. Mrs. Isbell was born July 25,1897 in Marietta, Ga.,a daughter of the late Simmie and Louise Johnston Stephens. A member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church,North Charleroi,she was a former Sunday School teacher and missionary for the church and was presently serving as Mother of the Church. Mrs.Isbel was preceded in death by her husband,Edgar Isbell Sr. in 1967. Survivors include one son,Edgar Isbell Jr.of North Charleroi;one daughter,Mrs. Ruby Brown of Monessen;two brothers,Robert Stephens of Marietta,Ga.,and Barney Stephens of Charleroi; one sister,Annie Peyton of Cleveland,Ohio;six grandchildren;seven great-grandchildren;and several nieces and nephews and other relatives.Friends will be received in the William R. Taylor Funeral Home,Monessen,on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from noon to 3:30 p.m. and at the Mount Sinai Baptist Church,North Charleroi,on Wednesday from 4 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday,April 22,at 1 p.m. at the church with the Rev. E.W.Demps officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The William R.Taylor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
