Obituary

Nolace Burke, 83, formerly of North Belle Vernon, died Monday, May 3, 2010, at 11:12 a.m. at Mt. Macrina Manor, Uniontown. Born Aug. 23, 1926, in Belle Vernon, she was the daughter of the late Stephen Franklin and Margaret Doyle Burke. A lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon, Mrs. Burke, a member of the First Christian Church of Belle Vernon, was a retired clerk from the former Revco Pharmacy. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, Linda Kreger, Steve Hough, Karen Jewell, Joe Hamrock and Nancy Wallace, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great-nephews. She will be sadly missed by her family. She was preceded in death by sisters, Georgetta Higgins, Margaret Hough, Mary Burke and June Hamrock, and nephews, Stewart Hough and Charles Higgins. Visitation will be held Friday from 9 to 10 a.m., followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon (724-929-6183), with the Rev. Donald A. Bowers of First Christian Church of Belle Vernon officiating.
