Noel Jean Bissiere died,Tuesay,April 22,1913,at 10:30 p.m.,at his home in Monessen,Pa. In 1871 a sturdy young man,accompanied by his wife and a baby of seven months left France to seek their fortunes in the land of promise. Backed bya firm resolution,undaunted courage,clear conscience and a strong arm,Noel Jean Bissiere set to work in the Carneige mills at Pittsburgh to make that livng always to be found by the faithful and earnest. An injury forced him to quit mill work and after various labors,he settled in Monessen 15 years ago. Noel Jean Bissiere was born in France on the 15th day of May,1845,and on the 25th of September,1867 he was united in marriage with Constance Rose Latour,of Bessages,France,and after the birth of their baby,they emigrated to the United States in 1871. In this country five sons and two daughters,and the companion who has always stood courageously beside him in his struggles are left surviving;Fred of Donora,John,Casimire,Henry,Noraham and Valerie,of Monessen and Mrs. Alice Damies of Strawn,Texas. A brave man,endowed with good ability,energetic in all undertakings and never slow to voice his sentiments on the side of right,active in the questions of the day,keen to conditions,were characteristics of Noel Jean Bissiere and to those who knew him best,he leaves pleasant remembrance,to his children he leaves a clean character and an untainted name,and to the faithful companion the knowledge that together they fought a good fight in life's battles and were victorious. The funeral will take place Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The services will be held in St. Leonard's Church and the interment made in Belle Vernon.
