Obituary

Nick Latta, 67, of Arnold City,
Belle Vernon, died Friday, May
29, 1992, at 10:12 am in Mon
Valley Hospital, following a
lengthy illness.
He was born Aug 11, 1924, in
Monessen, a son of the late
George and Anastasia Chornak
Latta.
He was a member of Holy
Resurrection Orthodox Church,
in Lynnwood, Belle Vernon. He
was a member of the Fairhope
Rod and Gun Club, and the
Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge
#209, Belle Vernon. He was a
retired crane operator at USX
Irwin Works.
Survivors include his wife,
Sophie Barch Latta, two
daughters, Mrs. Floyd
(Michelle) Bilski Jr of Belle
Vernon, and Mrs. Jeffrey
(Natalie) Parks of Hanover,
two grandchildren, Colby James
and Caly Dawn Bilski, both of
Belle Vernon, three brothers,
George Latta of Warren, Ohio,
John Latta of Latrobe, and
Robert Bukera of Monessen,
two sisters, Mrs. Robert E.
(Mary) Hunter, and Mrs.
William (Ann) Sivek, both of
Monessen.
In addition to his parents, he
was preceded in death by two
brothers, Andrew and William
Latta.
Friends will be received
Saturday from 7 to 9 p m and
Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Monday until 9:30 a.m.when a Blessing service will be held in the funeral home,followed by funeral services at 10 a.m.in Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church,Lynnwod,with the Rev.John Kluchko,pastor,as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A Parastas service will be held Sunday at 8 p.m.n the funeral home. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
