Valley Hospital; following a
lengthy illness.
He was born Aug 11; 1924; in
Monessen; a son of the late
George and Anastasia Chornak
Latta.
He was a member of Holy
Resurrection Orthodox Church;
in Lynnwood; Belle Vernon. He
was a member of the Fairhope
Rod and Gun Club; and the
Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge
#209; Belle Vernon. He was a
retired crane operator at USX
Irwin Works.
Survivors include his wife;
Sophie Barch Latta; two
daughters; Mrs. Floyd
(Michelle) Bilski Jr of Belle
Vernon; and Mrs. Jeffrey
(Natalie) Parks of Hanover;
two grandchildren; Colby James
and Caly Dawn Bilski; both of
Belle Vernon; three brothers;
George Latta of Warren; Ohio;
John Latta of Latrobe; and
Robert Bukera of Monessen;
two sisters; Mrs. Robert E.
(Mary) Hunter; and Mrs.
William (Ann) Sivek; both of
Monessen.
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by two
brothers; Andrew and William
Latta.
Friends will be received
Saturday from 7 to 9 p m and
Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Monday until 9:30 a.m.when a Blessing service will be held in the funeral home;followed by funeral services at 10 a.m.in Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church;Lynnwod;with the Rev.John Kluchko;pastor;as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A Parastas service will be held Sunday at 8 p.m.n the funeral home. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
