Obituary

Nick Grabana, 86, of Belle Vernon, died Sunday, May 20, 2007, in the Washington County Health Center. A son of the late Samuel and Nellie Wozniak Grabania, he was born in Pricedale (Rostraver Township) on Dec. 18, 1920. He was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church of Belle Vernon, where he served in the choir for many years, and he also belonged to the Belle Vernon Golden Agers. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Nick retired in 1981 from the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Evelyn Chapasko Grabana, one daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Dr. Dennis Davis, of McMurray, two grandchildren and their spouses, Kyra and Ryan Williams, of Bethel Park, and Mark and Jennifer Davis, of Venetia, one great-grandson, Ryan Ethan Williams, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Crampo. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. and CREMATION SERVICE, a Golden Rule Member Firm (724-929-5300), 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, www.fergusonfuneralhomeandcrematory.com. Funeral services will be in the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church on Wednesday, May 23 at 11 a.m. with the Very Rev. John Kluchko officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A Parastas service will be in the funeral home on Tuesday at 8 p.m.
