Nicholas (Nick) Kuch;96;of 109 Linden Ave.;Monessen;died Monday;March 11;1996;in his residence after an illness of several months. He was born March 18;1899;in Galicia;Ukraine;a son of the late Hnat and Helen Strepko Kuch. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was retired from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.in 1965;after 25 years of service in the steam plant. He had also worked as a steward at the Ukrainian Home and also at the Ukrainian Literary and Beneficial Association;both in Monessen.He also served for 28 years as secretary of the Ukrainian National Association. He was a member of St.John the Divine Orthodox Church;Monessen. He had been a resident of Monessen for the past 73 years. Survivors include his wife;Anna Kirpan Kuch;with whom he celebrated 56 years of marriage on July 15;1995;one son and daughter-in-law;Nicholas Terry and Becky Kuch of Jacksonville;Fla.;one daughter;Mrs.George (Helen) Pulaski of Bentleyville;four grandchildren;George Pulaski III;and Steven Michael;LeeAnne Marie;and Laurie Stella Pulaski. In addition to his paents;he was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Stephen D.Yoney Jr.Funeral Home;First Street and Schoonmaker Avenue;Monessen. Parastas services will be held Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home. A blessing service will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m.;followed by Funeral Services at 10 a.m. in St.John the Divine Orthodox Church;Monessen;with the Rev.John Horosky;pastor;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Stephen D.Yoney Jr.Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
